Privacy and terms

I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and roughly how they found the site. It sets cookies and collects things like the pages you visit, the page address, the site that sent you here, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. I only look at the totals. I don't sell this data or use it for ads.

Google explains how it handles this in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you'd rather not be counted, you can block cookies for this site, use a tracker-blocking browser or extension, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

When you save places while planning, the list is kept in your own browser's local storage. It never gets sent to me. You can empty it with "Clear the list" on the Things to Do page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your browser also keeps one small "you're offline" page from this site, so you get a friendly message instead of an error when you lose signal. It holds no information about you.

The site only asks for your location if you tap "Use My Location" or "Near me," and your browser will ask for permission first. If you say yes, your coordinates are used to sort places by distance. They're also added to the page address, so they end up in your browser history and in the page address that Google Analytics records. If you don't want that, just skip those buttons. Everything else works without them.

Like any website, a few other companies see your IP address and basic browser details when a page loads:

• Vercel, which hosts the site and serves every page.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces.
• The businesses' own websites and image hosts, including Google, which serve many of the photos on the place cards.

Links to restaurants, museums, hotels, and other sites take you off this one. Their own privacy policies apply there.

This site is meant for adults planning a trip and isn't aimed at children under 13.

If any of this changes, for example if I add a new service, I'll update this page and the date at the top.

The site is free to use for planning your own visits to Bentonville. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

I check hours, addresses, and phone numbers against each place's own website and public listings, but businesses change things without notice and I can miss updates. Everything here is provided as is, without any guarantee that it's complete, current, or accurate. Please confirm with the place directly before you make plans around it. I can't be responsible for a wasted trip, a closed door, or any other loss that comes from relying on this site.

Trail lengths, surfaces, and rules are listed as the trail managers publish them. Conditions change with weather and maintenance. Riding, hiking, and walking are at your own risk, so check current conditions and follow posted signs and rules.

This is an independent guide. It isn't run or endorsed by the City of Bentonville or by any business listed on it. Being listed doesn't mean a place endorses this site.

Business names, logos, and photos belong to their owners and are shown only to help you recognize the places. The writing and layout of this site are mine. Please don't copy them wholesale without asking. Links to outside sites are there for convenience. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for what's on them.

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
